Our PhD program

The Graduate School Symmetry Breaking in Fundamental Interactions is an international PhD program in the interdisciplinary fields of

- Elementary Particle Physics (experiment and theory),
- Hadron and Nuclear Physics (experiment and theory),
- Atomic Physics and Physics with Ultra-Cold Neutrons,
- Nuclear Chemistry,
- Particle Astrophysics,
- Lattice Gauge Theory,
- Quantum Field Theory, and
- String Theory.

PhD students are given the opportunity to research among renowned scientists in an international environment and furthermore to explore local facilities as well as international laboratories. Travel and research activities are refunded, research prizes can be awarded subject to the individual's performance.
