Associated members are welcome to participate in all our activities, events and semester meetings, may request funds for travel and can be awarded for the GRK PhD Thesis Award.
Associated members participate at the Support and Qualification Program without receiving a fellowship or regular payment.
Typically an associated member is funded by other sources.
Requirements to apply to be an associated member:
- Motivation letter
- Diploma or Master's Degree
- Transcript of grades
- Curriculum Vitae

The selection committee will decide about the admission of associated members.
Restrictions:
- Only doctoral students of the GRK related work groups at the Physics and Nuclear Physics department of the University of Mainz can apply.
- Memberships automatically end after 36 months or when PhD student finishes the PhD thesis.
- Only applicants who have started their PhD-project within the previous 6 months can be accepted.
